Will automotive restyling films damage or change the color of my paint?
No, Automotive Restyling Films actually help protect your factory paint job. Automotive Restyling Films will prevent UV rays from aging or damaging your paint. Keep in mind that wraps are recommended for vehicles that have paint jobs less than 3 years old. If you have an older paint job, contact your local certified applicator to see if Automotive Restyling is right for you.
Do matte colors have lower life expectancy similar to matte paints?
No, matte colors can be treated similar to all other finishes. Clean a matte wrap often and your matte finish will stay looking brand new.
How do I care for my wrap?
Wraps should be hand washed using non-abrasive chemicals. Typically, your simplest soap is the best bet. Wash it often and you will maximize the lifetime of your wrap.
How long should I leave my wrap on?
Arlon recommends removing automotive restyling films within three years of the install date.
